At the entrance of the village, you can visit the more than 400-year-old ‘Pr Šerco’ Homestead. The outside is characterised by a fresco, which bears witness to the venerable age of the house. Inside you can see the black kitchen.
It is composed of an open hearth and the mouth of the heating furnace for the adjacent room. And where does the smoke go? Through a hole in the arch into the roofing!
The hearth of the black kitchen was used to cook the typical Podkoren dish: beans dressed with lard and corn juice.
